Chicken feed to be analyzed for possible hormone unbalancing traits says DG PFA

Following the directions of Prime Minister of Pakistan, Punjab Food Authority has kicked off its research to find out the presence of hormones in chicken feeds.

However, this time research focuses on the composition of feed and its impacts on the chicken consuming it, said DG PFA. The decision was taken in an inter-departmental meeting of Punjab Food Authority concerning to review the progress of its departments and targets which are set for them.
Moreover, case of 19-litre (PET) water bottle was also discussed during meeting and it was ordered that barcoding of the 19-litre bottles be completed immediately which will help in keeping a count that how many times a bottle is refilled, he informed. Heads of Technical, Licensing, Public Relations and Headquarter Wing were present in the meeting. Captain (R) Muhammad Usman ordered to speed up the sampling and analysis process of the frozen foods, food colors, ghee and oil. Furthermore, the director general has directed officials to share the sampling results with media for the public interest.
