DG PFA directs officials to prepare round-the-clock duty schedule for Ramadan


The Punjab Food Authority has rolled up its sleeves against adulterators in order to ensure the provision of pure food across Punjab during the holy month of Ramadan. In this connection, PFA Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman has presided over a meeting at PFA Headquarter on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by heads of all departments. During the meeting, Muhammad Usman has directed officials to prepare a duty schedule for round-the-clock during the upcoming Ramadan. He also directed to constitute special teams to monitor the suspicious activities of shopkeepers and food business operators in Sehri and Iftar timings. He said that PFA is considering to increase the number of vigilance and special teams for proper checking. He further said that the teams will visit the Ramazan Bazaars along with all food points for inspection with full swing. He also directed all departments to prepare a complete action plan within five days to curb the sale of unwholesome food. He added that adulteration mafia and violators would be dealt with an iron hand.
