A meeting of Punjab Food Authority and office bearers of different dairy associations was held under the chairmanship of Minister for Food Sami Ullah Chaudhry and PFA Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman here on Monday.
The purpose of the meeting was to ensure the availability of pure milk in market. In the meeting, Pakistan Dairy Association, Sahiwal Dairy Association and representatives of several other milk companies have participated. They have discussed in detail concerning to bring more innovation and improvement in the law.
On the occasion, Minister for Food Samillah Chaudhry has recognized the services of Punjab Food Authority for helping other provinces to execute food law in their provinces on the strategy of PFA. He said that the execution of one uniformed policy of food across the country in favour of Pakistan. Moreover, Muhammad Usman said that it is necessary to bring changes in laws from time to time, which purpose is to meet the existing requirement of food industry. He said that the food industry can bring any matter to the discussion of scientific panel for the betterment of the industry.
At the end, the representatives and office-bearers have admired the efforts of PFA for ensuring the implementation of provincial food law in order to promote the safe food culture in Punjab.
