Food Minister meets DG PFA


Punjab Food Minister  Samiullah Chaudhry  has directed Director General Punjab Food  Authority to continuing operation  against  adulterators with  high spirit and efforts as well as discussed the  framework to resolve the issues of authority in a visit to PFA Head Office on Saturday. During his visit, PFA Director General briefed the minister about new laws. They also  discussed in  detailed  about  food  delivery  laws,  amendment  in  pure  food regulations and ban on the sale of banaspati ghee.

On the occasion, Samiullah Chaudhry said that he would request Punjab government to form the PFA Governance Body and discuss the finical issue of the authority in the line of the completion of the ongoing projects. He said that provincial cabinet has approved for  recruitment of manpower in PFA while rest of the stages will be completed soon. Meanwhile, PFA Director General  said that  the results  of the  Ramadan  bazaars’  effectiveness  were  also part  of  today’s meeting agenda. He said that the Punjab Food Authority would also give a briefing to Punjab Chief Minister on Ramadan Bazaars campaignunder the supervision of provincial minister for food.
