Directory General Punjab Food Authority has visited PFA Food Testing Laboratory and Medical Screening Facility here on Monday.
On that occasion DG PFA was briefed about the latest and modern testing system of food samples according to the international standards. He has been briefed about annual schedule checking and sampling performed by Punjab Food Authority.
In year 2019, Food samples as many as 8,457 while 58, 0079 food handlers has been screened. Irfan Memon (DG PFA) said that food and medical screening capacity would be increased very soon. Its appraisable that food technical staff is highly efficient as per international study and standards. He stated that PFA food and medical labs are working according to international standards. Furthermore, he said to make sure the labs have the capacity to screen all kinds of eatables. Industry has firm trust over annual sampling schedule for screening food samples.
