The Qasab Welfare Society has shown satisfaction on the action plan and licensing procedure of Punjab Food Authority. They have demanded to more accelerate the crackdown against illegal slaughterhouses for ensuring the supply and availability of healthy meat in Punjab.
Butchers expressed these views during a meeting with PFA Director General retried Captain Muhammad Usman at his officer here on Friday. On the occasion, Muhammad Usman said that PFA has directed officials to contact with concerned departments for the establishment of the slaughterhouse. He said that butchers can slaughter their animals in approved slaughterhouses.
