PFA arranges 118 seminars for food handlers in April


The Punjab Food Authority has arranged 118 seminars in 36 districts of Punjab for the awareness of food handlers in April. PFA trainers have guided food handlers and industry owners about the hygiene and the storage of essential commodities.
According to details, the provincial food regulatory body arranged 42 awareness programs in Lahore Zone and 38 each in Rawalpindi and Multan Zones. The authority has trained 3467 food handlers whereas PFA is providing complete guidance and informative booklets to participants without charging any fees. MNAs and MPA have participated in the seminars and appreciated food authority for arranging such as informative events.
PFA Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman said that the purpose of the awareness programs was to bring improvement in the food industry while PFA is emphasizing on the public awareness programs. Meanwhile, PFA is utilizing all available resources to ensure the availability of standard food upon the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar. He further said that we can control the foodborne diseases by ensuring the provision of quality food in Punjab as per the “Healthy Punjab” mission under its slogans “From Farm to Fork”.
