PFA celebrates 72nd Independence Day


The Punjab Food Authority on Friday celebrated 72nd Independence Day with fervour, zeal and eager by arranging a grand event titled “Adulteration-free New Pakistan” at Faisal Auditorium of Punjab University. The Punjab University has collaborated with the authority for arranging this ceremony.

Minister for Food Samiullah Chaudhry was the grace of the event. On that occasion, PFA Chairman Umar Tanveer Butt, PFA Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman, Additional Director Generals of the PFA, professors, students, staff and people from different walks of life were present.

Meanwhile, PFA has arranged competitions among the students of different universities and distributed prizes among winners. The students of different universities across Punjab have participated in the program. On that occasion, PFA has presented a resolution in favour of Kashmiris to show solidarity with them.

Chairman PFA Umar Tanveer Butt said that authority has done best work so far and it would be continued. He said that integrated law and public-friendly policies are the success of the Punjab Food Authority. On the other hand, Minister for food Samiullah Chaudhary said that every PFA official is working on the basis of transparency and merit for the betterment of this society. It’s a great need to strengthen PFA more for the eradication of adulteration mafia, he added.

Lastly, PFA Director General retired Captain Muhammad Usman presented his vote of thanks to all the distinguished guests, faculty, staff and students. He paid his special gratitude to the Chief Guest Samiullah Chaudhry and guest of honour PFA Chairman Umer Tanveer Butt for joining on this event. He stated that the support of the Punjab government is our real strength.
