The teams have held tests of 105,000 litres milk on the spot by using lactoscan milk analyzers machines. Muhammad Usman said that food authority seized a fully loaded six milk tankers of tainted milk from the spot. However, tainted milk disposed of thousands of litres milk over proved contamination of chemicals, powder, urea fertilizer and banaspati ghee. He told that the action was taken against them on the information of arrested accused (drivers) which caught two days ago in another raid.
The director general further said that PFA has been expanding the circle of operation against milk adulterators in order to tighten grip on them. PFA is getting fruitful results by following the guidelines of PM Imran Khan. Muhammad Usman said that the Punjab Food Authority would not allow the sale of ‘white poison’ in the name of milk in the market. He said that it is the utmost priority of PFA to ensure the provision of pure milk as per the vision of the Government of Pakistan. PFA is trying hard to make strict rules as punishment against the violators especially adulterators, he added.
