On the directions of Punjab Food Authority Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman, special operation teams visited number of free food stalls (langer khana) and sabeel points for keeping check and balance on the quality of food and its standards in Punjab on the eve of 9th and 10th Muharram.
The special teams were constituted on operation teams, vigilance cell, water and dairy safety teams. In Lahore, teams were deputed in the area of Data Darbar, BB Pak Daman and other shrines along with on the route of processions.
PFA has ensured the use of filtered water in the preparation of sharbat sabeel. Teams also checked the food safety measures and quality of ingredients which were being used in the preparation of food.
