PFA, Livestock complete survey arrangements to study the demand for fresh, pasteurized milk


Punjab Food Authority and Livestock Department have completed arrangements to conduct a survey to study the demand for fresh and pasteurized  milk. In this  connection, teams have completed the training about survey held at PFA headquarter. The purpose of the training  was guiding  them about the  questionnaire, their duties and the benefits of pasteurized milk.

The   training  session  was  presided  over by  Secretary  Livestock  Ahsan  Waheed and  PFA  Director  General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman.  Secretary Livestock Ahsan Waheed said that teams would go door-to-door for a survey and to remain in the field from 9am to 3pm.

The teams will also aware citizens about the pasteurization law along with asking questions from citizens to fill the form. He said that team to be contained on one officer of Livestock and PFA. Muhammad Usman said that teams would  conduct a  survey to  assess the  consumption of  milk  per home  and  way of  purchasing. He  said that arrangements would be made to supply the pasteurized milk to a consumer’s door in the light of survey results. He further said that pasteurized would also available at shops.

He said that this project is being  started as a pilot project in  connection to the  preparation of  pasteurization law which to be implemented by 2022 in Punjab. He has vowed to make Punjab adulteration free before the year 2022 as per the vision of the Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar.
