PFA organizes diet awareness camp in collaboration with Shaikh Zayed Hospital


Punjab Food Authority organized an awareness camp on the topic “Role of Food in the Prevention of Disease” held at Shaikh Zayed Hospital Lahore here on Wednesday. Director General, Punjab Food Authority, Captain (R) Muhammad Usman was the chief guest.

On that occasion, affected people from various diseases have been given diet charts, booklets, and guidelines free of cost. A team consisted of 30 expert nutrition, guided people on the importance of diet to cure diseases. On the topic, the role of a healthy diet in reaction with deceases, awareness has been provided about the selection of healthy and nutritious food.  PFA conducted different test free of costs like diabetic, neuro therapy, bone mineral dentistry, body feed analyzing, blood pressure and weight. More than 1000 people have been examined properly and given them awareness about perfect diet lively.

To arrange awareness camps by PFA, sensitizing people about the selection of healthy and nutritious food, said Professor Kamran Hussain, Chairman Sheikh Zayed Hospital. HOD Dr. Rabail Saleem said that PFA’s step on controlling deceases by healthy food is an appreciable mark.

Muhammad Usman said that there is a dire need for a generation to have knowledge about the selection of good food for building a healthy society. He said that PFA is spreading awareness concerning the provision of adulteration free and nutritious food among people. We can control on the foodborne illness through give awareness to people about a healthy diet, he said and added that PFA committed to ensuring safe and healthy food awareness programs according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
