PFA redresses 21,181 public complaints amicably in a year


The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has efficiently redressed 21,181 (95.79) public complaints in last one year, while remaining 930 complaints are under the process.

Out of 22,110 complaints, 5,265 public complaints received on PFA Helpline; 7,771 on authority website and mobile application; 974 on social media and 3,183 complaints through Pakistan Citizen Portal of Prime Minister. Meanwhile, the public had lodged 4,917 complaints in the offices of Punjab Food Authority while visiting the respective district office.

PFA Director General Irfan Memon said that Punjab Food Authority is working on a fast track basis and 95.79 of the received complaints have been completely redressed amicably so far. He added that Facebook has given the “Very Responsive to Messages” badge owing to prompt response to complainers/people. A complete update of the action is sent to the complainant via SMS which taken on his/her complaint. He said that the complaint registration procedure has been displayed in 36 district offices of PFA for the guidance of the public.

The director general further said that direct complaints of the public are also heard daily under the open door policy. He said that Punjab Food Authority Complaint Cell is providing a useful and effective platform for people to resolve their problems as soon as possible.
