PFA to introduce first ever food helpline for free food related consultancy. DG directs Public Awareness Wing to prepare strategy within seven days


Punjab Food Authority has decided to introduce consultation food helpline for citizens on which people can consult free of cost regrading to food. This was decided in a meeting during review the progress of Public Awareness Wing from Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman at his officer on Sunday.

On the occasion, Captain (R) Muhammad Usman said that qualified nutrition experts would be present on the helpline to give their expert advice to caller and give answers to the queries of the citizens. He said that consumers will refer to nutrition clinic for further consultation regarding to food-related diseases. Usman also directed authority to launch a monthly magazine of PFA and to add those topics which directly relate to public awareness issues. He said that sagacious people and our society can play a vital role to push towards the success of Punjab Food Authority mission. DG has directed Public Awareness Wing to prepare a strategy on it within a week.
