PFA to pay sample’s price for laboratory test Lahore, November 30,2020: On the directions of CM Punjab, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has decided to pay the prices against samples which are collected for screening test to ease in shopkeeper’s loss on Monday. PFA Director General Rafaqat Ali Naswana said that PFA teams will pay prices when they will collect samples from the market. According to annual schedule sampling, all eatables are sampled three or four times from the market. Earlier that industry owners used to provide testing samples free of cost voluntarily. Testing samples purchased from markets will be able to provide better results. This issue was raised in a meeting with Technical Wing after which decision was taken. DG further said that testing samples will be fully paid taken from anywhere. Huge amount of free testing samples are collected while shopkeeper had to face the loss. To maintain food quality, samples are collected from companies or market for laboratory tests. PFA provides complete guidance to food business operators (FBOs) to ensure the provision of healthy and safe food.
