Director General Punjab Food Authority Captain (R) Muhammad Usman chaired a meeting to discuss regarding Disposal of Excess Food Regulation with the committee constituted by Lahore High Court, at PFA Headquarter on Friday.
The contents of the regulation were discussed in details to the members of the committee. In the meeting, representatives of the restaurant industry, hotel, PFA and stakeholders have given their opinion on the draft. Muhammad Usman said that the draft for this regulation has entered in the final phase and would be presented to Secretary Food next week. He said that after getting approval from Secretary Food it would be presented to Lahore High Court. He further said that this regulation would help to stop wasting food during ceremonies after its implementation. The director general said that new ways and procedures would be introduced in this disposal of excess food regulation like the modern hotels all over the world.
