PFA to send officers to America for training course


Punjab Food Authority’s two officers will attend a three-week training course in America. The purpose of the course is to enhance the practical ability and capacity building of the officers as well as to make them aware about modern parameters and tools for food technology.
In this connection, PFA Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman has conducted interviews of six shortlisted candidates at his office, on Tuesday. He said that PFA is going to arrange a training course for employees in collaboration with the international organization. He said that law-making process and training about the laboratory analysis of food to be part of this course. He said that selected candidates would study the working model of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and food-related technologies of modern countries during this tour. This training program would help them to polish their skills and improve the efficiency of employees as well as discipline.
DG PFA further said that the authority has shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance. These selected candidates would train other staff of PFA after coming back to Pakistan. He exclaimed that this course would also help them to learn new trends and technologies regarding laboratory analysis and food laws. PFA is taking all necessary steps in order to meet the international standards and regulations, he added.
