Survey results: 92.5% people demand the facility of pasteurized milk


The Punjab Food  Authority (PFA) on Saturday released an initial result of the survey conducted about the consumption of milk in Township vicinity.

Out of 958 houses,  886 families have demanded the provision of  pasteurized  milk  for  their family members and  appreciated the Punjab Food Authority  for taking  this initiative. Citizens also requested survey teams to make a comprehensive policy to ban the sale of open milk and
adulterated milk. They urged authorities to execute the pasteurization law in Punjab to provide quality milk for citizens.

PFA Director General Captain (R)  Muhammad Usman said that PFA  has completed a survey from 958  houses  so  far. PFA  and  Livestock’s  joint  teams  would  take the  opinion of 4,500 families  in  the  first  phase. He  said  that  as  many  as 10  teams  of  both  departments  are  participating  in  this  survey  which  is being conducted in the Township area from 9am to 3pm. It has been  astonishing to  know that the majority of Township area people were already using pasteurized milk. The  director  general  further  said  that  the facility of  pasteurized milk to be started in  Lahore  after  compiling  the  results  of the  survey. He  said  that PFA  is also giving awareness to citizens in this survey and the response of people is commendable.
