The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has released its quarterly report of training schools on Wednesday.
According to the report, 11,000 food workers associated with the food industry have completed the training course from the Punjab Food Authority’s Training School. Breakdown the statistics, 10,567 workers were enrolled in Level-1 Training and 494 workers in Level-2 training, who have been successfully completed the training. In Lahore training school 978, in Gujranwala 1488 and Rawalpindi 1508, Faisalabad 1815 while in Bahawalpur 1011 food workers has been trained at PFA training school. On the other hand, in Sahiwal 1034, Sargodha 781, DG Khan 601, Multan 1351 food workers have been facilitated by food training courses, said DG PFA. He also said that in level two 147 food worker got training courses completed. Moreover, in level two training program, in Lahore 224, Faisalabad 93 food handlers have been trained. He also said that mostly food workers from restaurants field get training in level one. The director general said that practical training pays a vital role for less educated food handlers. Training schools are working properly in 26 districts across Punjab. PFA is working rapidly to expand its jurisdiction to other districts also. PFA training schools are providing training courses up to international standards, said DG PFA.
